We have a well-established hospitality practice, advising hotel and restaurant owners and operators in hotel and restaurant development and operation arrangements. We have acted for hotel developers and owners in the negotiation of hotel management contracts with such international brands as Marriott, Hyatt, Kempinski, Hilton, Sheraton, Bespoke, IHG (Intercontinental), Wyndham Hotels (Ramada) as well as regional and Asian brands such as Anantara and Dusit, Meydan. We also assist new hotel developers in consultant selection, feasibility arrangements and hotel operator benchmarking and selection, and advise on and negotiate the management contracts on behalf of our clients.
Our team has also acted for property owners in hotel lease and franchise transactions, as well as restaurant owners and investors in negotiating brand licence arrangements and restaurant tenancy arrangements and investment agreements between the owners. We have represented hotel operating companies in review and revision of hotel management contracts and advised them on local law and taxation and employment law aspects of hotel management arrangements. We have also acted for buyers and sellers of hotel and restaurant businesses.
