  • Acting for Novelty a large French multinational and one of Europe’s leading group of companies providing audio-visual and lighting solutions in connection with an acquisition of a majority stake in a company established in mainland Dubai, including undertaking legal due diligence, preparing and negotiating the share purchase agreement and other ancillary documents, and effecting the share transfers.
  • Acting for a private equity firm in connection with the acquisition of a significant minority equity stake in an Ethiopian pharmaceutical company.
  • Acting for a private equity firm in connection with the provision of a shareholder loan to an Ethiopian company involved in the food and beverage industry.
  • Acting for a large Omani manufacturing company listed on the Muscat Securities Market in connection with a co-acquisition (with the lead acquirer, a large Mauritius investment company) of certain manufacturing companies in the Indian Ocean Islands region (in Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Reunion and Seychelles) from a multinational manufacturing company which is exiting the region.
  • Acting for an international money remittance and forex bureau in connection with a change of name of its subsidiary companies in seven (7) African countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Botswana, Rwanda and Seychelles.
  • Acting for a leading Kenyan bank, listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, in connection with loan facilities to a mining company established in Democratic Republic of Congo, including advising on UAE security arrangements and issuing legal opinions on the financing and security arrangements.
  • Acting for Shenzhen Transsion Holdings in connection with undertaking legal due diligence on two (2) of its UAE subsidiaries, one established in mainland Dubai and the other in a free zone located in Dubai, issuing legal opinion on the legal due diligence findings and providing legal advice on various UAE law issues.
  • Acting for CPAS Management DWC in connection with the acquisition of its entire shareholding by Iron Mountain, an American enterprise information management services company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
